praying handsThe best way to support Southwest MN Christian High School is with your prayers.  There is a group that meets at SWMCH every Friday morning at 8:15 am to bathe our school and our staff and students in prayer.  Anyone is welcome to come and join this wonderful group of supporters.

magazinesOur students raise money for their individual classes by various fund raisers.  One of the biggest fundraisers for them, and the one they enjoy most is the Magazine Sale in September.  Students sell and renew magazine subscriptions and they sell food items.  There are prizes and bonuses for attaining certain levels of sales and the classes enjoy a healthy competition.  The money raised is used for the senior class trip and for Jr./Sr. Banquet decorating. In the past few years the seniors have had trips to Chicago and Minneapolis that include a day for a service project and a day for site seeing and entertainment.

Anyone who would like to purchase or renew a magazine subscription can click on this link; be sure to select a student to support.

Anyone who would like to purchase or renew a magazine subscription in person and/or purchase food items should contact a SWMCH student.  You are welcome to call the school office for more information.  507-442-4471

soupThe Southwest Circles consist of several groups of parents, grandparents, and other willing workers whose goal is to foster interest in SWMCH while providing moral and financial support. They joyfully raise funds for the staff and for programs run by the school. The entire group of circles jointly hosts 2 Soup Suppers each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Aside from those suppers, each individual circle will hold one or two fundraisers throughout the year.  Those fundraisers range from serving suppers at sporting events, selling pig in the blankets, having bake sales and rummage sales, organizing hoop shoot during basketball games to pancake breakfasts and community music events. Individuals who have students attending SWMCH are automatically assigned to a circle, but others can also join at any time.  To join a Southwest Circle or to get more information call the school office.  507-442-4471

pennyCarry the Light Celebration is an annual event that brings together supporters of Christian Education not only to raise funds, but to celebrate and praise God for his blessings here at SWMCH.  This celebration is an evening in which we support Christian Education with a special dinner and our annual donation sale. The community is invited to attend the evening events as well as to donate items to be auctioned either in the silent or the public auction.

brick wallThe Building Fund is funded by our annual Building Fund Drive.  Each year we try to raise enough money for repair and rennovation of the physical property of Southwest MN Christian High.  In the past money raised for the Building Fund has been used to repair the roof, upgrade the furnaces, put new ceiling and lighting in the hallways, resurface the parking lot, fire alarm system upgrades, wireless network upgrades, and window replacement.

apple and pencilBecause of the high cost of education, we occasionally have families who are unable to afford to pay their tuition.  We have a Tuition Assistance Fund that is used specifically to help these families afford Christian education.  Benefactors can contribute to the fund and allow the school board to determine who should be awarded the assistance, or if you wish to help a specific student, you can donate to the fund and designate who you wish to receive the assistance. To donate to the Tuition Assistance Fund please call the school office.  (507)442-4471

keyboardA large part of keeping tuition costs in check is made possible by the many hours of service from our volunteers.  Everyone is asked to be open to the call to volunteer in the following areas:

• help with the Pumpkin Festival

• help with the Carry the Light Celebration

• help with concessions and/or taking money at the door for sporting events

• being a chaperone for various trips and outings

• help with school cleaning and maintenance in the Spring
