Axis Worldview
Paul Bootsma 03/19/10 08:55 PM CST

The purpose of the Southwest Christian blog is to seek greater excellence in Christian education by informing, questioning, challenging, and being challenged.  Each day, Southwest as a school, its staff, its families, and its community are called to challenge students to grow in knowing, loving, and serving God and others.  This is our mission, our cultural transformation calling, our vision for the future. Thanks for reading and offering your feedback and comments.

Axis, a worldview education organization, led our spiritual enrichment days Wednesday and Thursday. They challenged our students to think about what they do, to discern before they act, and act on what they know is right through the leading of the Spirit.  As part of their worldview education, they asked the following questions:
1.    What is real?
2.    Where am I from?
3.    Who am I?
4.    What is right and wrong? Truth?
5.    Why am I here? What is my purpose?
6.    What happens to me after I die?

Through these questions, the Axis leaders took an in-depth walk through these questions, giving students solid ideas and direction for answering these and other related questions for themselves.

Please take the time to discuss these questions with your student, explore your own beliefs, and prayerfully consider having family answers for these questions. Our children are bombarded with ideas that contradict our own.  Act against this! Prepare students! Mentor them!
