For the year 2017-2018 we are operating on an unbalanced budget. We are attempting to raise the deficit by way of fundraisers.
Our students raise money for their individual classes by having a magazine sale every September. Students also raise money for the school with an annual Soup and Pie Sale. Our school has an annual donation sale. We collect used ink jet and laser printer cartridges as well as spent toner cartridges from office copiers, and old cell phones and turn them in for recycling as a fundraiser. All the mothers and some constituents are members of SWMCH Circles. Each circle has at least one fundraiser every year and all the circles participate in two soup suppers every year. We also conduct a drive each year in order to raise funds for building improvement. SWMCH is associated with the Southwest Christian High School Foundation. Donations to the Foundation are invested and the interest from those investments is donated to the school for general operating expenses.
Our students are involved in the following: Band, Baseball (boys), Basketball, Chapel, Cheerleading (girls), Choir, Cross Country, Drama, Golf, Leaders for Life, Prayer Share Group, Recreational P.E., Players (improv), Sequel (yearbook), Softball (girls), Statisticians/Managers, Student Government, Soccer (boys), Speech, Track, Trap Shooting, and Volleyball (girls).
Southwest MN Christian High is governed by a School Board. The board consists of constituents elected to 3 year terms of service. These constituents are nominated from various groups cooperating with the school. The entire society elects board members at the Annual Society Meeting. The School Board meets on the first Monday of every month. To see who is presently serving on the School Board click the School Board link in the previous window.

Southwest MN Christian High has a computer lab that provides 20 desktop computers. We are in the third phase of deploying a laptop computer to every student. In 2014 the incoming freshmen class all received a laptop, and each freshmen class thereafter will receive the same so that we will be a completely 1 to 1 school in 4 years. Each teacher also has a laptop computer. Our Media Center consists of a 6,000 volume library as well as 5 desktop computers. All student computers can print to 1 laser printer in the computer lab, we also have a copy machine available for printing for teachers. The office maintains a printer/fax machine as well. The entire school is on a wireless network and all stations and laptops have access to the internet. Students have access to most of the computers in school provided they sign a network usage contract stating they will abide by the rules and use the computers and the network responsibly. We have ceiling mounted projectors in all classrooms, 2 portable projectors, 2 VCRs, 4 DVD players, and 2 large screen TVs. Every classroom is also wired to cable TV. Students also have access to 3 digital cameras and 4 digital camcorders for special projects.
